Electronic invoicing in France
The electronic invoicing reform in France is approaching. Many of you have been asking us questions about it. This article addresses the most common questions about the availability and operation of this feature in Toolcie.
When will electronic invoicing be available in Toolcie for France?
The feature will be available before the September 2026 deadline. We will send you a newsletter as soon as it is activated on your account. No action is required on your part for now.
The release date depends on several steps:
- The final registration of Invopop (our partner access point) by the DGFiP, granted after successful interoperability tests under real conditions.
- The finalization of Invopop's API.
- The integration on Toolcie's side, which will be fast thanks to our existing experience.
Does Toolcie already have experience with electronic invoicing?
Yes. Toolcie has been operating electronic invoicing in Belgium since late 2025, via the Peppol network and our partner Invopop. France uses this same Peppol network and the same base format. We already have concrete, proven experience, and the integration for France involves very few technical differences from what is already in production.
Is Invopop approved by the French government?
Invopop is listed among the operators that have met all requirements, including interoperability tests, as published by the DGFiP. You can consult the official list here:

At this stage, no platform has yet received final registration. According to the DGFiP, this is only granted after successful tests under real conditions, a step that is still ongoing for all operators in the market. Invopop is actively part of this process.
Will I need to create an account with Invopop or another platform?
No. The only interface you will need is Toolcie. You will not have to create an account with Invopop or register on any other approved platform. Everything happens within Toolcie, exactly as it already does for our Belgian customers.
Will I be able to receive supplier invoices directly in Toolcie?
Yes. By enabling the "Send and receive" mode, your supplier invoices will be automatically integrated into your Supplier Invoices section in Toolcie. No manual action will be required. This is already how it works for Belgium.
What about e-reporting and France-specific tax obligations?
E-reporting (transmission of invoicing data to the tax authorities, including for your international customers) is handled automatically by our access point Invopop. You do not need to worry about it: Toolcie and Invopop take care of all these obligations on your behalf.
Will my invoices be automatically converted to the correct format?
Yes. When you send an invoice through Toolcie, the required electronic format (FactureX) is applied automatically. You continue working in Toolcie exactly as you do today, without having to think about technical formats.
What is the cost of this feature?
Electronic invoicing is included at no extra cost with Basic, Pro, and Enterprise plans. No additional charges will apply.
