Swiss “QR-bills”

Swiss “QR-bills”

5 June 2020

Payments in Switzerland are evolving and going digital. Starting June 30, 2020, across Switzerland, the red and orange payment slips will be replaced by “QR-bills.”

They are invoices with a special QR code containing the necessary information for paying the invoices, such as information about the creditor, the name and address of the debitor, the reference, and, of course, the amount of the invoice.

The QR-bill offers many advantages, including:

  • the option to pay online using a smartphone
  • no more entry errors for debitors
  • support for the euro, in addition to the Swiss franc
  • easy for creditors to generate QR codes online

Toolcie now supports the Swiss QR-bill! All you have to do is create an invoice, indicate your IBAN, and the Swiss QR code will automatically appear. Toolcie makes it so easy!
