SEPA payment QR code (EPC)

The SEPA payment QR code (EPC) is now available in Toolcie. It complements the Swiss QR Code, already supported for several years for Swiss and Liechtenstein IBANs, and now covers IBANs from the SEPA zone.

This QR code carries everything needed to pay your invoice: IBAN, amount, reference. Your clients just scan it from their banking app to pay, without retyping any information.

The payment QR code brings several benefits:

pay in a single scan from a banking app
fewer input errors for your clients
euro-currency support across the SEPA zone

In countries where banking-app support is already high, such as Belgium, the QR code appears automatically on your new invoices as soon as an eligible IBAN is configured. In other countries, support still varies from one bank to another, so you can turn it on manually in a few clicks.

To enable it, simply check the option from your payment methods: the QR code will then appear automatically on your next invoices.

Bonus: if you receive supplier invoices through electronic invoicing (France or Belgium), the payment QR code also appears automatically on them, letting you pay your suppliers in a single scan.
